More About Me

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jack Carter, and I
live in western Amherst County with my wife and daughters. Originally from California’s
Monterey Bay area, I first came to Central Virginia in 1990. Before moving to
Amherst, I lived near Charlottesville and attended Western Albemarle High
School, then Hampden-Sydney College, where I graduated with a degree in
psychology.

I relocated to Amherst in 2001, where I joined the Amherst
County Sheriff’s Office and began a fifteen year career in law enforcement.
During my time at the Sheriff’s Office, I began investing in real estate, at
first purchasing distressed properties to repair and lease. Over time, I bought
additional property and eventually left law enforcement to devote more time to
investing.  Soon I decided to dive deeper
into the world of real estate, and I studied to get my Virginia license.  Century 21 ALL-SERVICE appealed to me as a
company with a small town feel yet offering access to a multitude of fantastic
resources for the benefit of clients and agents alike.  My home office is the Amherst branch of
Century 21 ALL-SERVICE, located at “the circle” in the heart of Amherst.

When I’m not busy with real estate or working around the
house, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and canoeing,
watching baseball, or just spending time with family and friends.
