Public Service Rebate Program

Our society’s survival depends on the sacrifices of those who are willing to devote their precious time, and in some cases put their own lives at risk, for the betterment and protection of others.  These folks who serve our community work long, stressful hours, some under dangerous conditions, yet the sad reality is that they are usually underpaid.  It is truly unfortunate that those who work the hardest and give the most are paid the least.

As a former law enforcement officer, I know firsthand what kind of pay those who serve take home and the financial struggle they may face.  With today’s higher real estate values and the increased cost of borrowing money, it is more difficult than ever for those employed in public service occupations to afford homeownership.

As a way to say “thank you” to those who give so much, I am offering 25% of my net commission to those employed in public service careers who work with me on any real estate transaction as buyer or seller clients, payable as a rebate upon closing the transaction.

This offer is extended to those currently working in, or retired with ten or more years of service in the following occupations:

  • Firefighting
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Law Enforcement
  • Corrections
  • Public Safety and 911 Dispatching
  • Public Education
  • United States Armed Forces
  • Healthcare

The value of the rebate is based on net commission amount, which is equal to the gross commission shown on closing documents less brokerage fees, franchise fees, and any referral fees.  Clients need not be first time homebuyers to qualify.  The rebate applies to any real estate transaction, including purchase or sale of land and investments.

Requirements:

Eligible seller clients must sign a Standard Agency Listing Agreement, and buyers must sign a Standard Agency Exclusive Right to Represent Buyer Agreement.  These documents must be kept current during the entirety of representation.  Clients will be asked to complete and sign an application detailing their public service employment, including employer’s contact information.
